Ingredients
CRUST
2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup butter softened (no substituting)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
FILLING
4 eggs (slightly beaten)
2 cup sugar
4 Tablespoons flour
6 Tablespoons lemon juice
FROSTING
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon milk
2 Tablespoons cold water
Directions
CRUST:Mix curst ingredients with fork as you would for pie. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan and pat crust into pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
FILLING:
Mix filling ingredients while crust is baking. Once crust has baked for 15 minutes, remove from oven and pour filling over crust, continue to bake for an additional 25 minutes. Cool completely.
FROSTING:
Beat butter, powder sugar and milk for 6 to 8 minutes, add 2 tablespoons cold water one at a time until smooth. Spread over cooled bars. Let set before cutting.
