PORTABELLA FRIES
Ingredients:
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated pecorino romano cheese
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
salt and pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
3 Portabella mushrooms, cleaned, caps only
1/2 cup flour
Vegetable oil for frying
Ingredients:

3 Portabella mushrooms, cleaned, caps only
1/2 cup flour
Vegetable oil for frying
Directions:
Mix breadcrumbs, grated pecorino romano, chopped parsley and some salt and pepper in a bowl. Beat egg with water in another bowl. Scrape the gills from 3 Portabella mushroom caps; cut into strips. Dredge in flour; dip in the egg, then the crumbs.
Fry in 350 degrees F vegetable oil until golden. Serve with ketchup.
